Galaxies

I know I'm a little lost
My heart's been led astray too many times
But please don't run away
I hate that our story is such a cliche

Just look up at the sky and you'll find me
The galaxies' ashes live in my head
Kiss the stars and you'll feel my lips
Reach for the sun and you'll hold my hips

I'm not that far from you
Ask me why I paint the sky
I'll tell you my need for escape
And a story about rape

Read my poems carefully
You'll know where I'm hiding
In the shadows of dark matter I reside
Where you and my dreams collide

This poem contains many emotional elements, but the ones I feel the most are sadness and hope. I'm a very firm believer in hope. If you have hope and motivation, things might just go how you want them to for once. Always try to keep positive vibes in mind on matter how bad the situation :)
I like how you refer to the galaxy as you, it makes me think that you like to be mysterious because there is so much about space that we don't know about. But one thing we do know, is that it is unfathomably beautiful :)
