Wounded

Wounded

A Poem by Wraith

The cold was slipping from his fingertips,
Light slowly faded from his eyes, leaving them dim.

Don't fall asleep, you'll never wake up.
I don't want this bread, your blood in a cup.
Don't die for me, live a while longer.
While your alive I feel so much younger.

He looked up at me.
A tear slide from his eye and mixed with the blood.
Despite the slow dying, which took quite a while.
When he looked at me, he started to smile.

Dear child, you'll be fine.
Just know I'm yours,
And you'll always be mine.
We're friends after all,
I'll be with for each rise,
And of course for every fall.

He's dead now, never to be there ever again.
He said he'd be by me but I know it's pretend.
As he passed away because of what they did,
He may be the one that died, but I'm eternally...
Wounded.

About
You don't need eyes to see. You don't need ears to hear. You don't need touch to feel. At the same time you can be blind and yet have eyes. You can be deaf and yet have ears. You can not feel and yet .. more..
