Icarus

Icarus

A Poem by Wraith

The knife was dug deep,
It's blade, my corpse to keep.
The fault is my own,
My actions don't condone.
This sin of sacrifice,
This waste of another life.
As my greed fled with my soul,
Her words echoed hollow.

A penny for a dime,
You're out of luck,
Out of time.
As your lies turn to ash.
You'll be but a forgotten ghost,
Of a forgotten past.

Oh look! the light awaits...
Not the gentle glow of heaven's gates.
This shines fiercely, much like fire.
What irony, I should lose all!
The cause? Why,
Desire.

About
You don't need eyes to see. You don't need ears to hear. You don't need touch to feel. At the same time you can be blind and yet have eyes. You can be deaf and yet have ears. You can not feel and yet .. more..
