Well yes but sometimes you have to do things you’re afraid of.

Why’s that?

Well if I didn’t I never would’ve got through high school, gone to college, got a job, met your mom, or had you.

Where is mommy dad?

She’s…. in a better place…

Did she go to sleep dad?

Yes, she did… and she never woke up…

Wrote it after I went to bed. I just got the idea and got up to write it down.

It's haunting and very sweet in a melancholy way. The fear in there is one i think a lot of children experience. You have captured it remarkably well. It is a poem that really strikes to the heart and creates a relatable snapshot of something that happens to everyone.

Damn... this piece really hit my sensitive spot. I never read a piece like this one before. It is haunting, beautiful, and saddening, all at the same time. You had me immersed on this one. Very interesting flow indeed, and the last line was the final blow.
