Mary's Plea

Mary's Plea

A Poem by Cristal Bridges
"

A poem from the POV of the Virgin Mary

"

Baby, little baby,

Rest your little head,

While the rest of the world,

Slumbers in cozy little beds.

Baby, sweet baby,

Rest your tired eyes,

While the rest of the world,

Watches for a King from the skies.

Baby, dear Baby,

Rest now while you can,

While the rest of the world,

Disbelieves that You’re the Redeemer of man.

Baby, my baby,

I tried to tell them so.

But, this world,

Only believes what their minds know.

Baby, Heavenly baby,

One day they’ll all see,

With all the world watching,

You’ll die to set them free.

I'm a strong believer that Jesus is the Messiah, and I do believe that he is God's Son, so naturally, I fell in love with this poem.
The flow was great, and the feeling of nurture from Mary was beautiful-- just astounding.
