Hidden in Dark Flowers

Hidden in Dark Flowers

A Poem by Cristal Bridges
"

Just an emo poem about myself.

"

These black frames hide,

a girl you’ll never know.

Eyes that speak truth,

tears have courage to show.

Locked away in,

one single little room.

Holding onto,

ghosts inside this cocoon.

She lies unseen,

hidden in dark flowers.

Screams drip like dew,

Halt! Abate thy hours!

Can’t she be free,

to fly on renewed wings?

She’ll soar the skies,

be free to try new things.

If you’d let her,

out of that dismal cell.

she’d show the world,

she has stories to tell.

She’s got so much,

to offer this small sphere.

So many words,

like the ones appearing here.

Will she emerge;

spring to bloom all anew?

Or will her soul,

stay tortured, bruised, and blue?.
