Conformity

Conformity

A Poem by Cristal Bridges

Soaring around on broken wings,

Yeah, you’re bound to fall,

Shift them,

Mold them,

Fold them,

Into your backbone girl.

In glossy paper magazines,

Pay attention now,

Conform,

Adorn,

Lovelorn,

Into a paper doll.

Walk down that catwalk gracefully,

Easy now, don’t trip,

Strut it,

Walk it,

Talk it,

Into a kid that’s hip.

It’s time for your transformation

Hold on,

Stay strong,

Be wrong,

Into that one true you.

Here it comes the ride of your life

Don't  let it end your strife,

Hold tight,

Great height,

Dark night,

Into a mind that’s right.

Now you’re going back to being,

Is it the real your we're seeing?

Will it ,

Play it,

Say it,

Into? I’M ME AND YOU’RE YOU!

.

Ooooooh! I like this.

The three lines of action are fantastic in conveying the image of the piece. It is flows well. The transition from conformity into individuality is nice as well.
