Beware.

Beware.

A Poem by Darknessmymuse.

Go on
Take in her beauty
Breathe in her existence
Find solace
In that smear of vermillion on her forehead
The dark kohl that brings out the brown in her eyes
The smell of roses poisoning the air you breathe
Supple red lips. Fair skin.
Curly locks of hair kissing her cheeks.
Beauty.
For that is all she is.
But beware, naive friend,
That smear of red
Isn't vermillion
Its the blood of the last man
She so brutally killed,
The dark kohl
A bit of her dark soul
That she wears around her eyes
For she prefers it
To wearing her heart on her sleeve.
The smell of roses
That arose from the ashes
Of the family she burnt
To set herself free.
Bloody lips,
Deceptive skin.
Hair tangled
From walking through
The hot cold air
Of her home,
The graveyard.
Beware.
