In The Forest

In The Forest

A Poem by Darkmage

In the Forest

The night is falling,
Clouds hang low in the sky.
Snowflakes slowly drift down,
Covering everything in a blanket of white.

No trace of anyone else can be seen.
It is cold; my breath hangs in the air.
I am alone in this dense, dark, and silent forest.
I am lost,
Searching for a way to find my way home.

I glance up, watching the snowflakes spiral.
Returning my gaze to the forest,
I wonder to myself:
How will I ever find my way?
There is no clear path, no guiding light,
Nothing to point me in the right direction.

This forest seems like my life:
A journey through struggle,
Seeking the light and a clear path ahead.

The snowfall becomes heavier, the darkness grows deeper,
Just like my fears.
I am lost in my past, unable to find a way forward.
Every path seems to circle back to this same spot.

When will I finally find the right path
That will lead me out of this dark place?

Once more, I decide to try to find my way
Out of this forest.
With determined steps, I begin.

One step after another, I start my journey forward.

I stumble and fall, but each time, I rise.
Slowly, I make progress.
I know this journey will be long and arduous,
But I am determined to find my way.
