MY Friend

a short poem trying to honor my friend

My Friend

You are the one who has been by my side

through the years. You are the one who

comes to comfort me when in need.

And when my eye's are full of tears,

and do your best to help me smile again.

You are the one who encourages me to

get up when I fall. You are the one person

I can fully trust, the only one I can share

my secrets with. Tell my deepest desires to,

and know that you will not share them.

We have shared in each other's triumph's, 

and done our best to help each other

 through the sad times. I only have one thing 

to say to you, and I'm fairly certain you

 would say the same to me.

 I'm glad that you are a part of my life.

But most of all I am glad to call

you My Friend

Well, I know one thing for sure: this poem made ME smile. We all need that special person in our lives, who we can truly confide in. To feel safe and at home around. This is a wonderful poem, and I think the friend you wish to honor with this would be if they read it. Thank you for sharing this.
