-Winter-A Chapter by Darklordrabey"Let it speak for it's self"-Winter- The icy cold breath of
winter blows though the city in which there is a store that I reside with in. There
are people who hurry past the store trying to stay warm. Once in a while
someone glances at me but then continues on their way. I stand here motionless
in the window that over looks the snowy abyss that is before me. I am still as
if frozen in time wearing these clothes that are perfectly fitted to the frame
of my body and that were just altered recently with the change of weather. I
now wear a black buttoned down coat with an off white skirt, striped leggings,
and black knee high boots. Few people notice me on their way to the shops that
surround the store. At the coffee shop across the street, there is an
Infestation of customers drinking hot beverages and eating cake with bits of
candy cane on top and warm eggnog tarts. The toy shop next to them is overrun
by people buying stuffed bears, action figures , dolls and other such items
that their children would want to receive for the coming holiday. The candy
shop to the right of them is filled with individuals looking at, colorful ribbon
candy, large candy canes and giant gingerbread houses. But here where I am has
few customers that stop by to look around and maybe purchase a present to give to
someone for the holiday that is almost here. This holiday is the reason for the
trees that were placed around me with colorful lights and candy canes, and the cheerful
music that plays from speakers on the ceiling. But none of this really matters
to me as I stare blankly out of the frost covered window with no emotion for
that of which I see. © 2013 Darklordrabey |
