Chapter 2: The StormA Chapter by Darkgirl12
Waking up the next morning I dressed in a pair of Jeans and a black Tank-top. I went down the few steps to the kitchen and grabbed an apple from the bowl that was sitting on the counter. Taking A bite I went down stairs and around the trunk of the tree to my office. I grabbed a water proof leather bag and put a few odd things it it like: a notebook, pen, pencil, compass, Book, lighter, and the map that held the location of Atlantis. I then made my way upstairs again and went to my room where I grabbed another Bag that was Leather and water proof and put the smaller bag with the map inside it. I then grabbed a few changes of clothes and made my way down stairs. I went out the back door and spread my wings from my back. I then hefted the bag over my shoulder and took off into the sky.
I had pulled my wings in when I had landed. Sighing I turned on my side and slowly drifted into a light sleep. I woke with a start when Lightening Cracked right next to the cave. I jumped into the air and looked outside. The Storm was turning into a Hurricane. I took a chance and poked my head outside. Wind buffeted my face and water sprayed my face as I saw that most of the surrounding scenery had been destroyed by the winds. Pulling my head back in I sat down on the stone floor and looked around. I noticed that the Cave went on farther than I had imagined. Go I grabbed a nearby piece of wood and stuck it in the Fire. Pulling it out I traveled down in to the cave. The farther I went in the cave, the steeper the path got, until I had to bring my wings out incase I fell. Luckily I din't have to use them. I looked around and held the torch higher above my head. The room was littered with Riches: Gold, Silver, ruby, emerald, bronze, sapphire, everything You could emagine. Smiling I spread my wings and flew back to the entrance of the cave, grabbed a small bag and flew back down.
I landed on the ground and picked up a piece of everything. I tied the bag shut and then flew back to the top.I then put hte small bag in sideof hte bigger bag and pulled out the notebook and pencil. I then marked the location of the Cave on the map So I would n't forget where it was. Looking Outside I saw that they Storm had Quit for a while, but I wasn't fooled, I was in the Eye of the storm. So I Put the notebook and Pencil back into the bag and hid the bag underneath me As I layed down for some rest. I soon fell asleep next to the burning coals.
