Stop and Listen

Stop and Listen

A Poem by The Crimson Letter

She hides behind the shadows
No one notices her
She has no friends
She walks with for head down
as if she's ashamed of herself
She watches the leaves fade to brown
Rain slowly changing into snow
as it hits the pavement like glass shattering
She looks all around as the snow starts to pile up
The sun hides its face behind the clouds
And the birds hide from the clouds
She listens carefully to the wind
as it hums a death march
Darkness coils around her
A stream that seems so fragile flows with rage
Crashing every rock that steps in its path
She falls to the ground
Feeling a drop slide down her cheek
