Save me

Save me

A Poem by Becky Clancy

Will someone help me?

Can anyone save me?

I have been like this for over two years

I'm sick and tired of it

I hate the way I am living

I hate the way I treat the people around me

I want to change

I really do

Can anyone be my savior?

Please save me...from the darkness inside of me...

Everytime it comes out of me...I lose more people I love...

I wasn't always like this...but after I lost the one person I loved...

I have completely changed...from happiness...to sadness and hatred...

There are certain times where I don't want to be around anymore...

That I should just end it here and now...I can't take it anymore...

So I ask again...someone save me...from the darkness inside of me...I'm begging you..

Save me...before its too late...

People want two things above all. To be loved, and more, to be understood. If only others understood us like we understand ourselves. What a world. But the truth is that although our stories differ, we all have the same wants and needs. So I think it follows we have the same cuts and hurts. Plus- since I believe in the creation account of man, which means I believe we all come from the dust of the earth, when I look at my own wants and needs, then think of my own cuts and hurts, I can look just a little beneath the surface and it's there I can understand others, for at their core they're much like me. We're all born of the same filth and depravity. Here's the thing: when two people break up, and they sort out the things that matter and those which don't....in the final analysis they will always find two people who just weren't meant to be together. And that is nobody's fault. It just is. You don't point fingers and blame. You just let go and live well. Take your time. Get to know the other person. Take your time....and above all keep an open heart Becky. For from it flows the well spring to life....and Salvation.

A powerful cry for help in this poem. Most of us will need a reason or purpose for life. I like the flow of thoughts and desires in this poem. Sometime we must find a better place and road to be upon. Thank you for the excellent poem.
