I try so hard
but not hard enough
my love for you is my armor
my soul is my shield
I'd go a million miles to show you how i feel
my heart is a sword
that pierces all but you
If i must try harder
that's what I'll do
I love you
I need you
I'll prove it to you
For anger I'll abandon
Sadness shall be slain
I'll never be done
because this isn't a game
I'll give you my sword, my armor, my shield
I will always protect you
Never will I yield
The scratches, the scars mean nothing to me
as long as you and me shall always be
