Did you ever read 'Das Leiden Des Jungen Werther' by Goethe?
I do no expect you to read old German but there are good modern English translations! I have read the book both in German and in a modernized Dutch version and I must say your poem captures the same essence, the core of suffering itself. This is indeed a very dark romantic writing in the old style. Your content is different from Goethe, which is good. I love it, very interesting but I hope you will not become a young Werther yourself.
