The chess Game

The chess Game

A Poem by Dr. S. D. Blankenship DDiv., PhD., MA.

To those that seem to blame,

I truly will not to you claim.

You may slander my very name,

you may burn my very little flame.

you may see me and my lovely dame,

you may look at us like in a gold frame.

for someone like me, you too play the game,

for this I say you too are so very much lame.

You sat and watched as we left and in we came,

you have mocked the hound now she is untamed.

I told you this would happen, I tried to reclaim,

To this may I say thank you for being Ole so lame.

This was fun, but sorry I must run, or I'll miss my train

And now I must go thank you for this wonderful game.

Very good, like the growing verse. Very interesting, and of course Malkavians love the game as well :)

I love chess, but I am not very good at it. I don't have much foresight and you need that for chess.
The person you are talking to must have very little foresight, too, or they would have seen the checkmate coming!
This is a great piece and I really like it.
Keep it up!

I love chess....for a lot of people very confusing.
This poem is like chess too...you have to consider it carefully.
You don't want the opponent to see what you are doing.
It isn't an easy game.
Take care!

Haha! I like this rhyming you had going on. That must've been hard. XD Anyways, this is a really cool poem! Not everyday you get to read something on a game of chess. ^^ I've played only twice, barely, I might add-- but the shock was: I won both times. ;) Neat huh?

Anyways, great job! Thanks for sharing this. :)

lol i see you're turning the negative into a positive thing. The way you wrote this is very interesting, you can either look at this as a chess game, or look at it as if it is the game of life that so many of us play. Good job.
