Caged Confusion

Caged Confusion

A Poem by Dark Twain

They warned me of the beast that waited at my door

they told me to "stay inside, go to sleep, and don't ask anymore"

hours went by and then it felt like days

but no light shined through my window so I laid in my cage

until that damned curiosity, I would take a peek

as I opened my blinds, to my shock, I did see

they boarded up my windows and went for a feast

in fright and isolation I became the beast

Oh, what fear leaves on your doorstep when you let it off it's leash

I really like this one. I love fear and curiosity, they in themselves are so powerful. This was enjoyable. Good job.

Great piece...

I love the tone of it, as well as the flow and rhythm. The only thing I would consider changing at all is the font color and/or the spacing. It's a bit distracting, and takes away concentration from your writing. Very good job.

I think you're better at writing than you think.

this one is especially good, maybe I just feel that I relate
to it or something though.
