The Wishing Pond

The Wishing Pond

A Poem by Dark Tower
"

Fairly random, and inspired by a young woman I met recently

"
In fields of gold, where wildflowers sway,
I chanced upon a maiden fair,
Her beauty left me lost for words to say,
And filled my heart with sweetest air.

Her eyes, like skies of summer night,
Shone bright with grace and gentle light,
Her smile, a sunbeam in my sight,
Warmed my soul with joy and delight.

Her hair, like autumn's honeyed hue,
Flowed in waves of golden grace, anew,
Her skin, like alabaster smooth and fair,
Radiant with innocence and care.

I longed to know her inner mind,
To understand the depths she left behind,
But like a dream, she vanished from my sight,
Leaving me with only wonder and light.
