Angel

Angel

A Poem by Dark Tower

Angel

Five hundred and three
Five hundred and four
Five hundred and five
That's how many times
My heart beat in the second before we closed our eyes
And we touched lips
Lay here with me
Just to hold me please
Blinking feels like an eternity
Where I can't see you
I feel so cold
If it's not you with me
Then I feel alone

You look cute when you shy
Beautiful when you smile
Gorgeous when you laugh
But in that second before we close our eyes to kiss
You look like perfection
And everything else falls away
The way I feel about you
Gets stronger each day
The very thought of you not being with me
Causes me pain
Watching you walk away
Would drive me insane

I pray for us every night
And I wish for you everyday
Your name is the tune my heart beats
Your lips are the happy place I escape to
Your eyes are the only reason
I have for believing
In a higher power
Just when I stopped believing in it
I tripped, plunged and fell for you
Harder than the meteor that claimed the dinosaurs
Pour my heart out my eyes
Turn it into a rose and let it be yours
