Ode To Her

Ode To Her

A Poem by Dark Tower

Ode To Her

I don't now much about destiny

Divine intervention or fate

But I do know that this woman has restored my faith

In something I no longer believed

I had the right

To ever feel again

Feels like I'm going insane

As my brain spins

My goal is in sight

From this moment on it's fight or flight

Doing my best to keep my eyes on

The beauty of the horizon

As it starts to fade in

She's a bombshell

And I'm just glad I found myself in blast radius

I'm fighting the wolves

That are hungry to tear this thing of ours apart

If they knew how I felt about you

They'd know there's as much they can do about us

As there is for them to do about morning dew

You're all that I want

So please don't tell me

That we can't be

If this is all in my head

Then please don't wake me from this dream

Because if things aren't what they seem

Then I want them to seem what they aren't

I can't count how many times

I stood right opposite you

And wondered how it would feel

To wrap myself around you

And disappear from all this

And let it just be

You and me

Have you ever wanted someone so bad

You can barely breath when you aren't with them?

Without her smile

Even the light of day seems so dim

And you'd give anything or more

For her

To know just how much you adore her

Put your arms around her

And spend the night gazing at the stars

And notice how far from her beauty they are

Couple beats of your heart

And you're praying to God that she feels the same

When we need and love someone. We need them near always. Thank you my friend for sharing the outstanding poetry.
