Stand Up

Stand Up

A Poem by Dark Tower

Stand Up.

If I stared into the sky

Would God see my tears?

I can feel something

Calling my name

Silent whispers

In my head

Driving me insane

The morning sun rises

I slowly

Painfully

Awake

Burnt by what I love

Caressed by what I hate

My hands come together

I'm praying

While losing faith

Everyday is just so damn miserable

I'm worried this might be my fate

Must razor touch wrist

Must bullet touch brain

Dear God I will do whatever it takes

To put an end to all this nonsense

Taking garbage from people

Who throw it with no worry of any consequence

I swear sometimes I feel like I've been singled out

I feel like I'm standing in front of a panel

Who judge everything that comes out of my mouth

You know what I need

I need all of you to give me a rest

I'm done putting up with you

I'm drawing the line in the sand

And I'm using the middle finger on my right hand

Some might say I snapped

But the few will know

This is me taking my standing

Against mute cowards

Who only find voices when backs are turned

You want to play games

Then I'm going for the win

Without you in it

My world will still spin

Great piece of work!
your world must spine regardless of people and the bs that goes
on behind your back, otherwise they accomplished exactly what
they set out to do, they can only win if you let them and by the
show of these written words, you don't sound like someone that
just rolls over:) Thanks for sharing and b-blessed! (Never lose faith)
