A Poem by Dark Tower

Jump

Yesterday was a bitter dream
And today is not much better
Trying to clear your head
But it's too cluttered
Too many stray thoughts
Hiding in the dark corners of your mind
And as you approach them
You find
That they are
Thoughts of loved ones and family members you've left behind

Time passes
But does nothing for the pain
You tell yourself you can forgive them
Over and over and over again
Until you realise that forgiveness is not really a part
Of your heart

It actually begins
To seep in
That there is nothing standing between you
And the edge
You feel the tugging sensation
As the temptation to jump and put a bitter end to it all
Becomes so strong
Its overwhelming
You know its wrong
But you feel like you're out of choices
In your head
Nothing but screaming voices
So disappointed
In you
That you've been anointed
The disappointment

Now its dark
And you're stuck in an endless tunnel
They tell you to look for the light at the end
But no light does heaven send
But you're not surprised
This is how things tend
To turn out, nothing but bitter blackness on the sunrise

I never really understood the saying "forgive but not forget" It can be a struggle to do this. . . I wish you luck in this
