The Story Of A Boy

The Story Of A Boy

The Story Of A Boy

There once was a born from this town
Who struggled to keep his smile
He was cursed with an eternal frown
That dragged his life right
Down
Down
Down
Into the darkness
Into the cold
A secluded island
Where he was raised alone

He tried his best to smile
But it just didn't come out right
He searched for a cure for this madness
Almost his whole life
Consumed by deep dark sadness
That hid from him the light
All he knew was pain
Pain
Pain
Pain and sorrow
Left him feeling cold
And hollow
Lost in a desert with no tracks to follow
Swimming in an ocean of depression
Fighting against the tide
Chased by unseen demons
With no sanctuary
Within to hide

He found a mystic mirror
And gazed on his own face
Eyes were dead and lifeless
Like those of a God cursed sinner
Hope was just an illusion
Never truly there.

Nicely written, poor boy. He should find Jesus and his heart will laugh.

A powerful and sad poem.
"He found a mystic mirror
And gazed on his own face
Eyes were dead and lifeless"
Sometime we can find only dead-ends and no escape from who we are. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
