Shoulder to Cry

Shoulder to Cry

A Poem by Dark Tower

Shoulder To Cry

Don't know what concerns me more
What keeps slipping my mind
Or what keeps going through it
My heart is aching
Liquor keeps me medicated
Anything to keep from feeling frustrated
Open the bedroom door
And the bottles start to whisper...

When you've had enough come to me
I'll always be here and together we
Can numb the feeling of these feelings

I'll be fine as long as
There are bottles in the cabinet
In the morning before work
Find one and grab it
And drink enough to slow the rotation of this planet
And when the days feels like its been longer
That's when the whispers grow stronger

When you've had enough come to me
I'll always be here and together we
Can numb the feeling of these feelings

Heads swimming
Room spinning
Heart beating
Like I just took two shots adrenaline
It hurts to drink
But it hurts worse to be without it
Salvation in a hearse I don't doubt it.
