Breaking Down

Breaking Down

A Poem by Dark Tower

Breaking Down

Farewell world
I know you couldn't care less
But you've finally pushed me to the point where I've had enough
Pull the hammer on this revolver
Squeeze the trigger
Skull goes crunch
And the light in the tunnel gets bigger

I can't get your crap out of my head
Waking up next to you
Every morning wishing I dead
And you just keep taunting me
I'm stuck somewhere between gratitude and ambition
Feels like the story has ended
But the book is far from finished

God
I prayed to you the other day
But you didn't send me a response back
I'm tired of you being mysterious
I just want a straight answer
I'm serious.
If you love me
How can you sit back and watch me suffer?
I want answers now
I don't want to wait for my heavenly ascension
You're supposed to be my father
I could use some divine intervention.

A powerful and emotional ride in the poem. All of seek answered to why we had lived and need to be alive. I stood in this position once. Saved by a knock at my door and someone to make me get up. Thank you for the excellent poetry.
