Cursed

Cursed

A Poem by Dark Tower

Cursed

A shattered ceiling

The skies are bleeding

The stars are weeping

The suns warmth fades

And the moon has long abandoned this God forsaken place

And hand in hand with hope and love it is retreated into the folds of space

Baby Cupid is dead

Replaced instead by this remorseless demon

That fires love disintegrating arrows

The tunnel of love is now to narrow

For any to walk

A million men use guns to promote peace

Hunger overcome by greed

Religion substituted for perspective

Ignorance is protected by gold

The rich man deficates on the land sown with poor mans blood

The rich man mines gold from the poor mans tears

Governments sell false hope for very real fears

And now the word friends

Means that the assassins blade will peirce your back and not your face

Innocence is denied to new born babies as they open their eyes

A billion slit throats piled high in a tower

Blanketed with deciete and covered with dollar signs that we all idolise

Really intense. I felt the anger and it was in perfect tone for activism but vague enough to encompass so much that is wrong today. Great Write and keep it up hope i can get to more.
