A Moment In Time

A Moment In Time

A Poem by Dark Tower

A Moment In Time

Do I kiss you?

Do I hug you?

Or do I just stand back and admire?

Is it a weakness that I want you?

Or am I just a slave to desire?

If it’s a crime to love you then arrest for the crime

Because whenever we kiss I feel like I’m going back in time

To that moment when I took my first breath

That first moment when sunlight hit my face

Or the tingling warmth of a chocolates first taste

If there was a moment in time I could go back to see

It would be the moment when you first told me you love B

I can’t see the darkness

Not when I’m with you

You’re a candle in an ocean of darkness

You’ll always shine through

You’re a shoulder to lean on

When the weight of the world breaks my back

I constantly push you away

But you love me

So you always pull back

If there was a moment in time I could go back to see

It would be the moment when you first told me you love B

"You’re a candle in an ocean of darkness"
Love should be the light in the darkness. I enjoyed the complete poem. Thank you for the outstanding poetry.
