Mt Love

Mt Love

A Poem by Dark Tower

Mt Love

Softer than the winds kiss

Hotter than the warm sun

Higher than the tallest mountain

A long ladder

With trials and hardship at every rung

A long and winding path

Hidden in a fog pain, joy and confusion

Walking along there

The sun baked wind scorching my hair

I see my destination

Too many barriers

Created by my arch-enemy procrastination

I’m hesitant to go forward

Too scared to back

Don’t know what to do

So alone

So confused

Reaching out

And hoping

That in the wake of this hurricane love

Hearts won’t be broken

We join hands

And together

Climb every rung

Hike the hidden path

And stronger we become

We make it to the top

And stand a shining symbol of something more

A shimmering token

In your eyes I see all that I adore

And on the peak, lips touch and words of love are spoken.
