If our love was a flower

It would be the most delicate rose

It would stand forever

With its roots wrapped around our souls

It would be nurtured by our hugs

And forever it would grow.

 

Some days I sit

And I just think about happy

You make me everyday

And that’s when it

Hits me the hardest

You make me happy in every way

Emotionally

Spiritually

Your voice is like the symphony

Of a thousand angels

All gently singing to me

 

If our love was anything like your smile

It would light up the universe

And change the way the planets align

It would be shine so bright

It would make the sun

Seem dim, dull and lacking in light

 

I love the way

Your fingers fit into the gaps between mine

I love the way

You’re constantly on my mind

Keeping me in a constant state of bliss

And if I had a time machine

I’d go back in time and recapture

That moment when we first kissed

That split second when your lips touched my lips

And my

Legs starting shaking

Felt like I’d been dreaming all my life

And it took your kiss to wake me

Like I was in a painful coma

And your love saved me

 

If our love was a foundation

It would be built on holy ground

In a distant land

Where only butterflies and cupcakes are found

And the giggle of babies is all that sounds.

 

It’s that same love that inspires me as if from above

No matter the test you know I’ll give you my best

Hand in hand we leap over obstacles as if eager for the next

Because we know a love like ours can withstand any test

As long as you have me

And I have you

We are truly blessed.
