Stuck On You

Stuck On You

A Poem by Dark Tower

Stuck On You

I find myself standing in the rain

Each drop of water hiding the tears that form from my pain

As I watch you walk away

I so badly want to follow

Tell you I love you

But to you those words would just be hollow

Losing you is like pouring a bag of razors in my mouth

And trying desperately to swallow.

Roller skates with no wheels

Make as much sense as living without you

When I sleep dream about you

And when you’re away I scream without you.

I’m covered in bruises

Because I didn’t just fall in love with you

It’s been a crazy fall, and I’m still falling

The way I get all giddy when I see it’s you calling

The way you’re face is the first thing I want to see

Every God Damned morning.

Okay,

I got mad

But please tell me you can understand

I’m mad because I’m a different man

They want to sleep with you

I want to hold your hand

Lovely analogies you've thought up in this one.

Anger can cause separation. It is hard to repair. Age teaches us to be silence. Bad words and actions can lead us to loneliness and bad places. A sad tale in the poem. Forgiveness is hard to get. Can with real kindness and time. Thank you for sharing the excellent poem.
