Best Kept Secret

Best Kept Secret

A Poem by Dark Tower

Best Kept Secret

What I fear most is you asking me why

Why I cant breathe when you’re not in the room

Why the sight of you walking away pushes me to cry

Why seeing you even smile at other guys

Upsets me to the point where I just want them all to die

I don’t think there is actually an easier way

For me to say

The simple truth.

The simple truth is from the moment I saw you

I felt something stir

Stir deep within me.

The feeling was so strong it threatened to snap me

I just wanted to die in your arms

So I could die happy.

In the split second you smiled at me

My heart draw a future

Where you and I were together as if it were destiny.

I don’t believe in love at first sight

But the seeds of our love were planted tonight.

But all of this is irrelevant

My feelings for you are utterly insignificant

Telling you to your face cannot make things between us different

You know I have something to tell you and tell me to be bold

But my feelings for you are a secret that even in death I will hold.

Such graceful poetry hinted with a lick of sorrow and reminiscing, what a wonderful combination to brew the perfect dish to serve: a tempting dish with a bit of depression on the side, would you like fries with it? or perhaps a cake? tasty, yet destined to rot your teeth.
