B.CA Poem by Dark TowerB.C
On the outside he's a picture of perfect health But on the inside he's being punished for a sin for which he cannot atone So he finds solace in being alone He doesn't understand people So he prefers to walk alone Pushing away even closest friend So he finds his strength when his fingers tighten around his pen
He feels trapped in his life Like a reoccurring nightmare The only probably with living in a nightmare Nothing he sees in this world can cause him to scare Desensitized to everything around him Paranoia takes a firm grip He doesn't trust any of the snakes that surround him They all keep prattling on about how they're his firmest friends How their friendship was so strong That their loyalty would never bend But he just closes eyes And waits for the droning of their voices to end again Because he knows that skinny necked bottle of vodka Is the only thing that can numb his pain A pain in his chest It hurts him so bad that he blocks it out
He has given up asking why He can feel his tears As they push their way free of his eyes Once again he succumbs to emotion From a heart he's long come to despise He just sits on his own at night Praying for God to just let him die
