Merry Go Round

I want you

To understand something

You've hurt me

To the point where I'm past bluffing.

I'm sitting back with my arms retreating into a fold

As I watch you do what you do

Suddenly I realise why I'm so cold

And you know what honey and its got nothing to do with you

I take a look at myself and see that I have changed a tad too much

Where my iron will promised it would never budge

Now all I got is this warm fuzzy crap every time I think of you

But we both know that you where just playing me for a fool

Like a childs a toy

Or a dispensable tool

I love you, you love me

I hate you, then you hate B

Talk four hours today, tomorrow not a sound

This love is a merry go round

For some reason I keep on coming back for more

You just click your knuckles and laugh

I've always wondered what I keep coming back for

Im the devil whos doing you wrong

And I can see your halo as you spread your angel wings

Been struggling to fly away from me for so long

I couldnt let you go because I fear the sting

But maybe you're right we're just not destined to be

Well I'm no longer holding you, if you want to you can fly free

A awesome line right there, and a very nice poem. Good job!

I think many of us want to get off that merry-go-round but are afraid to step off. I do like the way you think "out loud"...it gives us access to your mind. Well done, B.

I like the ending in this poem. Good to set them free. They may come back. Most times we don't want them back. Good story with a perfect ending. Thank you for the outstanding poem.
