Light In My EyesA Poem by Dark TowerLight In My Eyes I wish you could see what I can see There’s a small opening in this world for me Writing is my destiny It brings out the best in me If you could see Then you too would believe in me Life is useless to me The only thing I care about Is the art hidden in my heart And every page I write tears that little more apart Writing consumes me In a way I think it uses me Takes control so often people actually like my writing persona more than they like B I don’t really blame them I’ve known B my whole life and you know what? I don’t like him much either You’re sadly mistaken If you think there’s room for love in this heart Heart is consumed by the dire need to produce art People come People go Relationships begin Relationships end Todays enemy was yesterdays friends But the writing stays the same Forever bound to me, its become a part of my name Bongani Armstrong Mhlangu © 2012 Dark TowerReviews
