Ode To Lilly

I know I said that Closure was final piece, but this one just had to be released.

Ode To Lilly.

 

I don't want to run away

But you're scaring me with commitment

Your kiss makes me want to stay

But the way you give them to everybody fills me with resentment

I do not want to show you my temperament

But you're pushing me to edge inch by inch

Used to welcome your embrace

But now when you come to hug me I cant help but flinch

I'm not scared of physical violence

I'm just scared of the secrets that you hide behind your eye lids

 

It was only the other day when we smiling together without a care

Sprawled out on the beach together

Me whispering I love you with my fingers stroking your hair

But your feelings come and go like a patch of bad weather

For you to think that you can show him love when I'm not there

Hurts me so deep because I know that its not fair

 

Do you kiss him the same way you kiss me?

Do you hug him as warmly as you hug me?

Do you sit with your tongue in his mouth while texting you miss me?

Deep down this is starting to bug me!

The feelings of anger and doubt are now in surplus

So much so that they escape custody of my heart and break to the surface

 

Knowing that it doesn't hurt you just hurts me more

I gave you everything in me

So quick to find a new guy, I heard your room just became a sex store

When the new guy finally sees you for what you are

Your pack your stuff and climb back in your car

And come back to me, saying you love me, and how you've realised it now because you just fell hard

What would you treat me like this for?

Would it be immature for me to call you a w***e?

 

But not this time, you cannot come back to me

I will not be your back up place to stay

Remember how you use to call me B?

Well this bee new nectar, so I'm flying away.
