Super Dad

Super Dad

A Poem by Dark Tower

Super Dad

It is hard to be a father

You can never think about yourself

Whenever something happens

You’re expected to help

You’ve got to work everyday for your money

Though at the end of it all you don’t really see any

You’re always expected to know what’s right

You’ve got to investigate all scary noises at night

You’re expected to always be on call

Whether giving a lift or kicking a soccer ball

No matter the problem you are expected to be in the mix

To calm the storm and provide a quick fix

You are expected to know everything

From calculus to hydrogen fusion rings

No dad is perfect

But If I had a choice of any

Every time I would choose you.

Very inspirational, especially from a male. Male children do not usually appreciate fathers until later in life, not an easy subject for many but you expressed it with the right balance between the art and the message.
