I'm thinking About You

I'm thinking About You

A Poem by Dark Tower

I'm Thinking About You

I'm thinking of looking att your picture
Put on our favourite song and just listen
I know that when we broke up I said I'd never miss ya
We shouted at each other and said some awful things
Threw things around and gave each other back our promise rings
We swore at each and ran away without saying goodbye
I had walked two steps before I sat down to cry
Only thing that stopped me from calling you was my pride
I still keep your number I just changed the name
I tried deleting it but it was still stuck in my brain

When I pass you in the street I my heart starts to flutter
I try to something but all I can do is stutter
You look at me and smile that pretty smile
Exchange words and I feel special, atleast for a while
But then you leave and reality comes back and smacks me in the face
The warmth is all gone only a hollow emptiness remains in its place
In my mind I've apologised to you a thousand times,
I practice to myself and memorise every line
But then when I see you it all slips out my brain and suddenly I cant remember what to say
And the memories of our smiles and happiness come back as I watch you walk away.

A beautiful piece of work i must say you have penned down the
feelings of guilt , pride and regret that its just hard to believe and yes,
you do have a hidden writer in yourself deep down there that is why
that flame of that one passion is still glowing inside you ....
