Make The Pain Stop

She’s lying on her bed

Razor kissing her wrist

Her life was never perfect

And from the start

She came from a family

Torn wide apart

Mommy doesn't do much

And liquor is all daddy does

She has an ugly face

That’s what daddy told her

He puts his hands around her throat when it’s time to hold her

Started with little slaps

Daddy uses fist and belts now because she’s older

Daddy beats her when he’s drunk

And beats mom he’s sober

She loves her daddy so much

That’s where he gets his power

Told her never to repeat what he did to her in the shower

She tried to tell her mummy but she wouldn’t listen

Told her she should not have put her dad in that position

So for years she keeps it to herself

Until eventually she decided that only one thing will help

Syringe filled with drugs that numb the pain

Razor kisses wrist and she never feels pain again.
