Dear man in the shadow really wish I was you

Your live a full life and still have time to mimic me too

You’re always there when I call

You help me up when I fall

When I sigh you sigh

When I cry you cry

You there when I am rich

Still there when I’m struggling to get by

 

You are my friend when I can find no other

I wish I could be a part of your world

Because nobody there sees colour

They never argue or fight

They never kill each other

The later it gets, the taller you stretch

My shadowy best friend

Always there to protect.
