![]() HeavenA Poem by Dark Tower![]() A poem I wrote while I was writing Sophias Tears.![]() Heaven. Another child disappears Never to be seen again Another mother falls victim to her tears Each tear drop a symbol of her never ending pain She loves her daughter but now she fears She will never feel the warmth of love of her embrace again Imagine your loved ones faces and their voices Now imagine how you'd feel if you never saw them again. Life lost is pain gained. Little Sarah used to love the sea And so its only fitting thats were final resting place be She was only nine years old She was a smart one Heart of gold And the glow of her cheeks resembled the sun She seemed destined to be star with her angelic voice But now her dream has been cut short by anothers bad choice. Life lost is pain gained. Now sweet little Nosipho she was a good one Never complained or asked for money Her daddy loved her very much but sadly he had none. Nosipho was a top student, spent all her time between the covers of her math book Until anothers bad choices finally came knocking But it wasn’t money or possessions but Nosiphos life they took Life lost is pain gained. One belief I hold closer than any other Is that God takes the young so they don’t suffer. None can imagine the pain that befalls a mother When she sees her child die by the hands of another. Sad truth is we all die, whether at sixty-three or eleven But just like our father God They’ll be blessing us from heaven. Bongani Armstrong Mhlangu © 2012 Dark TowerAuthor's Note
