For Many Visions Did I See All Through The Night

For Many Visions Did I See All Through The Night

A Poem by DarkShines

Just one of those days

When I reluctantly wake

Blinded by the sun's invasive rays

Feeling an unexplained sort of heartache

No problem to be found

No reason to complain

But deep inside there still echoes a sound

Whispers rife with disdain

It feels like something is about to turn

But with every move I stay still

With every breath, the little joy left begins to burn

Watching my capacity for disinterest fill

It rips, and it tears

A slowly growing rift in my heart

I sit and I watch, seeing how it fares

As the void grows deeper and further apart

Nothing will really matter

This haze makes me see

A life that could only get better

Succumbing to the visions of gloom I see

Nice poem.
I like the lines:
A slowly growing rift in my heart...
Well penned.
