My Little OneA Poem by DarkShinesBioshock themed poem, an answer to Rainbow Breath's 'Symbiotic [Eyes Under Ebony]Down below Deep beneath The dark and seductive sea
Life's been taken Taken away from me Given away to monstrosity
My voice is no longer The sound I once knew Like a sighing foghorn Bent and out of tune
Fixing the leaks Plugging the holes But no chance to save these godforsaken souls
Wearing masks to hide Hide the pain Destroyed their bodies without any shame
All for the vanity Chance to be strong With fire at their fingertips How could life go so wrong?
But she sees past all of this She knows not of the wicked men That haunt these halls
She dances down the corridor Draining the forgotten Not really understanding what for
My little one So fragile and sweet She skips and sings of angels Never knowing the death at her feet
Calls me Mr. Bubbles She's mine to protect Mine to watch over A bond born of pure torture
I can't question the need But even if I could I could never be freed
Condition calls on me To be the one she needs To help gather the leftovers Escort her on her morbid deeds
And as much as I want to be free I am forced to make her see That she would always have a protector Her Big Daddy
Somewhere beyond the sea Somewhere waiting for me My life remembers Remembers what I came to be
And heartbroken about what I came to lose © 2014 DarkShines |
