Tears of Dust

A poem of suffering

Tears of Dust

I've wiped away my tears in silence.
Before... they were only wet anguish….
I clear my throat to hide the sorrow,
Ever so quietly.

I don't remember when love and sadness met,
But they seem to make a vicious sweet couple.
As the clock ticks on, I see its face and the silent rage more often.
But even now, there is nothing I can do about it.

So I dry those dusty tears…
Ever so quietly.
And lose myself in the thought…
That you never knew they fell.

Strength isn't suffering…
It's the ability to hide the pain.
