Chapter FourA Chapter by ReaperJess lies at the end of the bed at a warm spot. She casually doodling a tree on white printer paper. Her a*s clings to her jeans. I can’t help but stare. She spends the whole night smiling and talking to me. It almost seems like a good life. But sadly this will rarely ever happen again. Only being friends, it makes it less special. But part of me could get used to this. She maybe not the one I like but she is special in her own way. Jess looks up from her drawing, “He hit me again last night.” She was referring to her boyfriend. He was a terrible person. “Why do you stay when he does that?” “I don’t know.” She starts to tear up. I slide over next to her, “it will be okay. You just need to stand up for yourself and leave him.” She stares into my eyes then leans in, “I’ll try.” Her cold breath hits mine, I think she wants me to kiss him but I don’t know. My phone goes off in the background; I don’t go to pick it up though. Jess pulls back, “go answer it.” She smiles. I grab my phone and go into the other room, I know the number. I click it and answer it. A voice rings out, “I need you.” The phone ends, I slide the phone into my pocket. I stumble back to my room, in shock. Jess sees my shock, “what’s wrong?” I sit on the bed, still silent. She moves over next to me, “What’s wrong?” I hesitate but words come out, “I need to leave for a bit. I’m sorry.” “It’s fine. But do you mind if I stay here? I don’t want to go home to him.” “Yeah that’s fine.” I get up and leave before anything else can be said.
~…~ It’s been a few month since an event. She traces some broken hearts in the window using the fog of her warm breath to write. She hasn’t smiled in months. She’s been locked away in this prison created by her mother. The most evil b***h of all time. She rather see her daughter dead then happy. She never wanted her. And now that she thought her daughter was f**k up, she wished she was dead and gone. So many times, she tried to kill herself. But they all failed. She sits there on her mountain of sorrow, looking for somehow her savior to come and save her from this world. But he doesn’t know where she is. Her mother walks by the open door, “He isn’t coming. Just resign yourself to that fact. He never loved you. Who could? You are garage. I wouldn’t love you if I were him. I don’t even love you as me. Just know that no one will ever love you.” The girl’s eyes tear up at the pain of the statements. She knows, he isn’t coming. She thinks about her past. What screwed her up? The rape. The cutting. The lost love. The lack of love from family. Things she thinks that they will never heal. So she decides on what to do. She swings her window open. The fresh air hits her pale face. The slight wind knocks back her long blonde hair. She stares at the wet green grass. It’s a long distance away. She gets on the edge of the window seal. She pushes off the ledge and free falls. Her thoughts stop on the journey down. She is finally at peace. Her hits the unforgiving ground. Some of her blood release from her mouth and pours to the grassy ground. Back at her room, her sister that was passing by drops her glass in shock. Then looks out of it to the ground. Her sister there motionless with a smile on her face. ~…~ Rose thinks about her life. It was pretty good. But the ending was f*****g terrible. She didn’t know her future killer but when his or her hooded and masked face pushed her into the trunk she knew it was her ending for sure. She prayed in the trunk. Not for her but for her bleeding boyfriend on the road outside. The Reaper never leaves a victim alive. Everyone knew that. He or she was famous for years of killings in the area. She is near the remainder of her life. She can feel the final breaths leaving her body. Yes, she think she has seconds left. The water fills up the trunk of the car so she has to now gasp for the remaining air. After a few moments the trunk is filled and she starts to fade. She fondly looks back at all the ups and downs. The man she loved. The friends she had. And now they are all gone to her now. Then it’s over. No more breaths, no more living. She is dead. The Reaper stands on the road looking at the poor man trying to save his girlfriend. She is surely dead. The Reaper walks over to the man and looks at him. The man can see his naked face, the reaper made sure of it. The man has no weapon to defend himself, only words, “kill me now.” The Reaper laughs, “I’m not going to kill you.” The man gets up, “Do it now! I have nothing to live for!” The Reaper still laughs, “You do now.” The man looks confused, and the Reaper just smiles. “She’s gone, she was my life.” “Well I’m now your life.” “What do you mean?” The Reaper turns and starts to walk away, “It’s your job to kill me one day.” The Reaper gets a little farther away, “One day you will end me, till then, I will wait for our meeting.” The man falls to his knees in tears. The Reaper walks the down the street to where a car is hidden.
