We all fall down

Derek and Alice hold each other for a long time. Derek looks down at her.

“Are you okay? And is Eve okay?” Derek stares in her eyes.

“I’m okay now that I know you are okay. And she is okay but something is wrong with her.”

Derek tilts his head, “what happened?”

Alice shyly says, “Well Maddy turned her into… a fifteen year old.”

Derek’s face turns to shock, “what?!”

“It was some potions that aged her fourteen years. So she would fulfill some prophecy or something.”

“Well I knew about the prophecy but she’s f*****g crazy for aging her.” Derek looks at the ground, “how does… I mean… what is she like?”

Alice smiles, “like a mini version of you, super strong, and just amazing. But you will meet her soon and we all will be together for a long time.” Her hand presses against his chest.

Derek looks at her and lies to her, “Yes, we will all survive this.” He knows that maybe he won’t survive.

Alice smiles at her. Finally her life is starting to get better.

“We need to waste a few more minutes. Till it gets darker.”

“Are we waiting for the wolves?” Alice says almost excited at the thought.

“Yes.” He isn’t lying because a wolf will end up showing up, him.

“Derek” Alice smiles at him wanting his attention.

“Yes?” Derek looks at her.

“Life is too short and we never know if tonight will be our last, so can we make love?”

Derek looks at her, “right here?” He smirks.

Alice laughs, “I know it’s not ideal.” Her voice turns to a low serious one, “And deep down, I’m afraid you won’t like my bruised and ugly body. But I love you and I want to show you my love.”

Derek leans in and kisses her lips, “I’ll love you no matter what.”

Derek starts to gently take off her dress. Alice shudders in pleasure at the feeling.

She helps him take it off and her underwear.

Derek stares her naked and bruised body filled with cuts and scars. He leans in and kisses every single bruise and cut.

“You are stunning.” Derek says as he starts to strip.

 

 

Back at the castle

Reaper walks back in the conference room as its now filled with a couple of a

hundred of zombies. About the same amount is in the courtyard.

Reaper walk up to Maddy.

“So do we have silver bullets?” Reaper says knowing he needs to get his hands on it.

“Just one in this gun.” Maddy hands him the gun.

“You want me to have it?” Reaper looks at her in a curious way.

“Yes, I’m a horrible shot.” Maddy smiles at Reaper, “Make it count we don’t know how many there will be.”

“I will.” Reaper holds the gun and looks at. He thinks, I will take the shot when

Derek turns.

 

Back outside.

Derek and Alice are getting redressed. Alice walks over and hugs Derek.

“Thank you.” Alice smiles.

“Thanks for what?”

“Fixing me and saving me.” Alice kisses Derek’s cheek. “So what’s the plan?”

“We pretty much go there, walk inside and we get out. The other small details are more of a real time type of thing. And when I say now, throw me the sword, I don’t know if I’ll need it but we shall see.”

Alice looks at him strange, “Okay but be safe.”

“A few things you should know. Remember this moment, not what happens in there. Please. Okay?”

Alice shyly says, “Okay, but…”

Derek stops her, “Just in case I don’t make you have to promise me…”

Alice interrupts, “You will make it.”

Derek looks at her, “Just in case, promise me you will get Eve far from here. There is a horse a quarter mile from here, get to him and ride him as far as you can. Can you promise me this?”

Alice hesitates but nods.

Derek hands her a gun filled with silver bullets, “no matter what happens know two things. One, no matter what happens use this on whatever may prevent you from leaving,” he hands her the samurai sword he was carrying earlier, “two, know that I love you, and only you and Eve.”

Derek leans over and kisses her then grabs her hand. The two walk towards the castle knowing this could be their last time together.

There is some minor editing that needs to be done but over all it is very well done.

As for this line, it is very important and I don't think most people will get it.

“two, know that I love you, and only you and Eve.
If Derek doesnt make it and the queen does along with Eve the queen could possible harass Alice saying that He never loved her.

I love the end of this chapter but this chapter has some greater potential. Step out of your comfort zone and let loose. It’s kind-of hard to do at first but write a separate draft just for your eyes. You don’t need hot and heavy, just a little more passion. This could be their last night. Play around with it. I think you’ll surprise yourself and find chunks to use in your editing on this chapter.

I beliebe Derek will live and that in the end he and Alice and Eve will be together. But I still don't know if Maddy can do anything for good or not.
