''8:24''A Poem by DarkRainbowPieWhen a loved one passes away, do we ever REALLY come to terms with the loss?
''Time of death - 8:24''
That's all they said, not a word more. Died in a room surrounded by strangers; You're finally free from all life's dangers. Your heart stops beating, blood runs cold, We never got the chance to grow old... With one another. Just to be together, If only we knew there was no such thing as forever. Gripping your hand as tight as I can, Wishing we could have gone back and just ran... From this pain, this sorrow, this tragic end; What's been broken now will never mend. Sitting there quietly, I don't want to let go, Can't you take me with you? No one has to know. My eyes well up, and I start to cry, Sadly I know it's time to say good bye. ''Time of death - 8:24'' That's all they said, not a word more... And now she's gone, her young life over. If only I got to tell her I loved her.
