Him And HerA Poem by DarkRainbowPieI was listening to the song Princeton Ave. by the band Issues and just got inspired to write about a similar subject matter... which, unless you know that song, will be unknown until you read this x'DHe stumbles in the door, It's a quarter past four. He's drunk and he's loud, Can he survive much more?
She lies in bed, Listening to him downstairs. Tears come to her eyes, She knows he doesn't care.
Yes, he believes, As he takes another swig. From the half empty bottle. Then he pulls out a cig.
Things have changed, They were happy before. A wife and 3 kids, Could he want much more?
Out of his mind, His thoughts all a mess. He circles the kitchen, Then heads for the press.
She sits up in the bed, 'What the f**k is he at?' Suddenly scared, She lies back down flat.
He's found the drawer, And taken his pick. He staggers up the stairs, Reeking of sick.
She hears his footsteps, Hides under the quilt... But satin can't save you, From a man full of guilt.
He f***s other women, And lies to his wife. Spends his wages on vodka, Now, just to finish her petty life.
Out by the hair he pulls her, She's afraid to scream. He holds the blade to her neck, Oh, how it gleams.
'I love you hunny' Are his last words to her. Then he draws the blade, And... it's all over... in one
