The First Spring FlowerA Poem by Elizabeth
You're the sunset that drenched me in orange
The hues that bloomed my monochrome blues Lavenders, violets, springtimes, a bud, so delicate amidst the thorns, ephemeral like all pretty things in their prime July slipped away, bringing the August rains Grey skies, cool winds murmur secrets untold Your touch of midas, turns it all to gold The ascension of persephone, brings an end to the winter And I blossom like a flower, an emerging victor. © 2023 ElizabethReviews
