A Poem by Elizabeth
"

"
In the foggy night;i see a flicker of light
I follow it for i believe
It will lead me out of this void
This dark void with no end in sight
The light twinkles feebly
As i tread ahead with cautionary steps
It dances playfully
As if it perceives my hesitation
Where did it come from;this insecurity of mine?
The luminous entity is my only hope
Why can't i bring myself to trust it?
The light, uncaring about what i feel
Jumps gleefully~drifting further apart
I make up my mind and chase after it
Soon the distance between us closes
I capture it in my hands;
It diminishes completely
A sense of dread fills my heart as my
Only hope disappears before my eyes
But then i realise;the night is gone
As the sun appears bashfully from over the clouds

Hello dear Elizabeth. In the deepness of the night. We can be chased by memories and thoughts.
"A sense of dread fills my heart as my
Only hope disappears before my eyes
But then i realise;the night is gone
As the sun appears bashfully from over the clouds"
I liked the above lines. Finding some kind of peace in the morning clouds. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry and your thoughts.

Helloo! Thank you for your review! It made me really happy that you enjoyed the poem
Your poem really resonated with me! The way you described the flicker of light in the foggy night was so vivid and evocative. I could really feel the sense of uncertainty and insecurity that you were conveying. The line about the light dancing playfully as if it perceives your hesitation was especially powerful - it was like the light was teasing you, daring you to take a risk. The ending was especially beautiful - the way you described the sun appearing bashfully from over the clouds was so poetic and lovely. It was like the light was a metaphor for hope, and the sunrise was a symbol of renewal and possibility. Overall, I thought your poem was really well written and thought-provoking.
